Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks release 10 minute mini documentary
Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks have offered fans an insight into their new album Sparkle Hard.
Formerly of Pavement, Stephen Malkmus is preparing for a new album release with his trusty Jicks.
But before Sparkle Hard drops on 18 May, Malkmus and co have uploaded a 10 minute mini documentary, offering viewers an insight into the recording, and general messing about that goes behind the new record.
Having already revealed one single featuring Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon ahead of their album, Sparkle Hard will be their first release since 2014.
Presenting visuals of Malkmus horse riding in a medeival inspired robe, and playing tennis in a hi-vis jumper that matches the tennis balls, the mini documentary highlights the recording process and small enjoyments when allowing some downtime.
Directed by Brook Linder, Sparkle Hard: The Movie is just a glimpse into the excitement building around their album drop.
Sparkle Hard is out 18 May via Domino. Check out Best Fit's Nine Songs with Stephen Malkmus.
