Bret Easton Ellis‘ indie credentials just keep on improving. Patrick Bateman, the lead character from American Psycho, may have been a big fan of Huey Lewis but Ellis has shown much diversity in his music tastes, recently interviewing Kanye West, The National’s Matt Berninger and Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig on his podcast.
Now, this week is the turn of former Pavement man and current Jicks singer Stephen Malkmus. The pair discussed Malkmus’ music past and present, as well as recent movie Inside Llewyn Davis.
Listen to that below. Meanwhile, Easton Ellis also recently worked with Dum Dum Girls on a new short film/music video.
