Stella Donnelly signs to Secretly Canadian and reissues debut EP Thrush Metal
Australian artist Stella Donnelly has announced a new deal with Secretly Canadian and released an expanded release of debut EP Thrush Metal.
Donnelly has also unveiled the surreal visuals for latest single "Mechanical Bull".
"'Mechanical Bull' is dedicated to people who work in hospitality who have to deal with customers, especially drunk ones, harassing them and making objectifying comments," says Donnelly. "I wrote this about my experience working in bars and it was a nice way to release some of the frustration I had!"
Thrush Metal is getting a proper international release via Donnelly's new label, and it comes with previously unreleased material as well as last year's smash intro "Boys Will Be Boys".
Donnelly is set to play a number of showcases at SXSW next month, and then head to the UK and Europe in the spring. She's also due to play End Of The Road Festival later this summer. Find out her full live plans.
