Stella Donnelly and Porridge Radio share covers as part of Secretly Canadian's 25th anniversary
Secretly Canadian has announced its year-long plans to celebrate its 25th anniversary, alongside releasing covers by Stella Donnelly and Porridge Radio as part of its SC25 Singles series to accompany the news.
The label aims to raise $250,000 for Bloomington organisation New Hope For Families as part of its year-long 25th anniversary plans, and is due to release a series of reissues and singles to help reach that goal.
As part of the label's 25th anniversary initiative, Secretly Canadian has announced its SC25 Singles series, which is launched today (16 April) with Stella Donnelly's cover of Jens Lekman’s "If I Could Cry (it would feel like this)", and Porridge Radio's reimagined version of Scout Niblett's "Wet Road".
Alongside announcing SC25 Singles today (16 April), Secretly Canadian has shared its first titles being reissued as part of SC25 Editions, which include limited edition reissues of Jens Lekman’s When I Said I Wanted To Be Your Dog, The War On Drugs’ Wagonwheel Blues, Tig Notaro’s Live and Whitney’s Light Upon the Lake. SC25 Editions will be released in groups of four throughout the year, with all profits going to New Hope For Families.
