Stella Donnelly helps kick off Friday at End of the Road with her "best show of the tour so far"
Fremantle-raised singer/songwriter Stella Donnelly helped kickstart Friday at End of the Road 2018 with a packed-out set at the Tipi Stage.
Blending hard-hitting cuts about sexual assault and doomed relationships with A+ banter, Donnelly kept the audience in the palm of her hand throughout the 30-minute set. Simultaneously hilarious and devastating, it was no easy feat to craft such a captivating presence in such a large space all by herself (the solo show just used vocals and sparse electric guitar), but she did so with aplomb - and the throngs that fed the Tipi Stage to capacity, for the first act of the day no less, were rewarded with a vintage performance.
"It was overwhelming!" Donnelly admitted to us afterwards, adding that it was "the best show of the tour so far."
