Portlandia actor Fred Armisen regularly serves as “band leader” for the house band on U.S late night’s Late Night With Seth Meyers, with guest musicians filling in for him while he’s away. Now, it’s been announced that none other than St. Vincent will hold up the fort next week.
A press release says that Annie Clark will “sing and shred” during the shows on 11 and 12 August. She follows on from the likes of Eleanor Friedberger, J Mascis and Marnie Stern, who have all appeared in the house band.
The permanent house band includes members of Les Savy Fav and Girls Against Boys.
