St. Vincent pays tribute to Dorset as Masseduction hits End of the Road Festival
It's been a whole half-decade since Annie "St.Vincent" Clark blew our collective minds with her Love This Giant show with David Byrne at End of The Road 2013, and she's repeated the feat at this year's event with another stunning audio-visual extravaganza.
Clad in bright orange latex with a technicolour array of custom guitars, Friday's headline set cut down the theatrics she cultivated over recent tours to let the music - augmented by some exceptional lighting - do the talking.
Drawing heavily on fifth album Masseduction, there's still room for reworked versions of fan favourites "Marrow", "Cruel", and "Cheerleader", and she even tweaked the lyrics to "New York" to reference Dorset (we're happy to overlook the fact we were technically in Wiltshire...). Brash, uncompromising, and stylish as hell, there are few finer ways to wrap up a Friday night.
