Spotify removes default shuffle button from album pages at Adele's request
Adele has convinced Spotify to remove the default shuffle button from the streaming service's album pages, writing that albums "should be listened to as we intended."
The shuffle button is no longer a default option on Spotify's album pages after Adele tweeted about the importance of tracklists.
She wrote on Twitter, "We don’t create albums with so much care and thought into our track listing for no reason. Our art tells a story and our stories should be listened to as we intended."
Spotify responded, "Anything for you."

The change comes just days after Adele returned with her long-awaited fourth album 30 last Friday (19 November).
Yesterday (21 November) ITV aired Adele's UK TV special, An Audience With Adele, which saw her perform a variety of tracks from across her career, as well as being reunited with her secondary school English teacher.
