Spotify have created a job for Barack Obama so he can stay President (kinda)
Spotify CEO Daniel Ek has created a job in a bid to lure outgoing US President Barack Obama to the company.
Recent reports suggested that President Obama was mulling over a move to the company, departing politics altogether for a job in the music industry. Although awesome, it all sounded a bit unlikely (mostly because it was obviously a joke).
It might've begun as a joke, but Ek has thrown Obama a tempting opportunity to remain a President of sorts.
The job on offer is President Of Playlists (what a title), and is based in New York City. Not anyone can apply though - you need a very particular set of skills.
If Obama takes the role, he'll be "overseeing our music curation and playlists team, across offices around the world."
More specifically, it'll mean he has to "provide world-class leadership to our playlist editors and supporting staff," and "identify and substantiate new playlist ideas."
Hey @BarackObama, I heard you were interested in a role at Spotify. Have you seen this one? https://t.co/iragpCowpO

Here's where it gets tricky if you're not Obama. In order to bag the position, you'll need "at least eight years experience running a highly-regarded nation"
You'll also have "experience in programming playlists at a federal level... anything from an eclectic summer playlist, to a celebratory, 'I just found my birth certificate' playlist."
As well as being pals with top-name artists, you'll also be "nothing short of one of the greatest speakers of all time" and have a Nobel Peace Prize.
