
Spotify announces Drake as most streamed artist in the UK for 2020
Spotify has revealed the top songs, artists and albums of 2020, which sees Drake taking the title of the most streamed artist in the UK.
Drake is the most streamed artist in the UK for 2020, according to new figures released by Spotify. The Canadian artist is followed by the late Juice WRLD, Eminem, Ed Sheeran, and The Weeknd.
The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights" has been named the most streamed song in the UK and globally, while Lewis Capaldi's Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent is the most streamed album in the UK.
Drake is the second most streamed artist in the world, following Bad Bunny. Bad Bunny's YHLQMDLG album is also the most streamed album globally on Spotify with over three billion streams.
The top five UK artists streamed onn Spotify in the UK include Sheeran, Stormzy, Dua Lipa, Capaldi and Harry Styles.
Spotify has also confirmed that this year's most streamed genre in the world is pop, followed by dance pop, pop rap and rap.
