Sports Team announce new EP and put the pedal to the metal on new single "M5"
Harlesden's Sports Team move into the fast lane on new single "M5", taken from their newly-announced EP Keep Walking!.
"M5" is the first new offering from Sports Team since August's "Margate", and arrives with fun green-screened visuals directed by Kris R.
On the new single, vocalist Alex Rice explains, "We want to get into the minutiae of everyday life, valorise it, romanticise it, play with it. If England seems prosaic then people should be able to find something uplifting in that."
The infectious new single had been tried and tested during their live shows last year. Drummer Al Greenwood expands, "No one had heard the song, but by the second chorus we had crowds singing the lyrics back to us."
"M5", recorded with Jolyon Thomas (Slaves, U2, Kendrick Lamar), is the first single to be lifted from their sophomore EP Keep Walking!, which follows on from their 2018 debut project Winter Nets.
