Speedy Wunderground's Savage Gary links with Georgia on new song "Nothing To Say"
Georgia has collaborated with Savage Gary, aka Dan Carey, on new song "Nothing To Say", which is released as part of Speedy Wunderground's Quarantine Series.
"Nothing To Say" is he 21st release from the label's Quarantine Series, following October 2020's "Q20" by Savage Gary, aka Speedy Wunderground's label boss and producer Dan Carey.
The new song marks Georgia's first outing since her remix of dodie's "Hate Myself" landed earlier this month, and follows her recent news of being announced as Love Record Stores 2021 ambassador.
Georgia says of the collaboration, "I love Savage Gary. I love Dan. When he sent me the initial beat it was so different and beautiful in its simplicity that the melody just came to me instantaneously. I put down the vocals in a couple hours and sent them to Dan.... next thing you know it sounds like this! FIRE."
Carey adds, "I've been good friends with Georgia for a long time - ever since G and I used to make tunes on the OP-1 for fun on the Kae Tempest tour bus, I've known I wanted to make a record with her. We've both been so busy and it's taken a while to get round to it but, ironically, lockdown gave us that chance - as part of the series."
The track was mixed by Carey's 16-year-old daughter Orla Carey, who has also mixed music for the likes of Scottibrains, Goat Girl, Pynch and Girl Ray.
Carey, aka Savage Gary, has also collaborated with Martha Sky Murphy, DEWEY, Stephen Fretwell, Kae Tempest and more for the label's Quarantine Series.
