Speedy Ortiz confirm sophomore LP Foil Deer
In an interview with SPIN yesterday (21 January), Speedy Ortiz frontwoman Sadie Dupuis confirmed the band's follow-up to 2013 debut Major Arcana.
The record will reportedly be titled Foil Deer, and it'll be out 21 (or 28) April:
"I believe it's April 21... It might be April 28. But I think it's April 21. [The title is from] a sculpture I saw in a museum a while ago. I wrote it in a notebook. I liked the image of it, and it wound up in a lyric of a song."
Dupuis also said that the band quit their jobs to spend a solid three weeks on the album and that Devin McKnight is now a full member of Speedy Ortiz, replacing 2014 departee Matt Robidoux.
