Spector announce new single "Bad Boyfriend"
Spector have announced details of upcoming single "Bad Boyfriend", which you can stream at the bottom of the page.
The London-based band are following up the marvellously wry "All The Sad Young Men" with something equally tongue-in-cheek. Despite both tracks sounding like mournful power ballads, they're more akin to silver-tongued ripostes. For "Bad Boyfriend", the band take aim at the digital era and Internet-focused living, backed by piano rock and swooping Hurts-type swoops. This is less heart-on-sleeve and more fist-clenched-in-mock-ham-fistedness.
It's expected that both the recently-released tracks will feature on Spector's as-yet-unconfirmed 2015 album. "Bad Boyfriend" will get a single release on 8 June.
Spector are set to play The Dome in London on 11 June, with tickets being on sale from 9am this Friday (17 April).
