Spacebomb bassist Cameron Ralston talks gardening ahead of Barbican show
As the Spacebomb Records gang get ready for a mammoth live event in London, we catch up with collective member Cameron Ralston for a chat about his garden in this week's Talk The Line podcast.
Founded by Matthew E White, Spacebomb is a record label and production company based around a house band that follows the model established by the likes of Stax or Motown, with a signature style inspired by a love of great American soul music. As The Guardian put it, "they make albums that sound like a million dollars" - and on 6 October they assemble in London for a one-off show that will include guest collaborations with the likes of Natalie Prass, Slow Club, The Waterboys' Mike Scott, Foxygen, and Charlie Fink from Noah and the Whale.
Ahead of that show we met Spacebomb bassist Ralston during some downtime at End of the Road Festival - where he was playing with Foxygen - to talk about something he likes to do when he's not in the studio or on the road: the art of gardening.
Talk the Line sees host Jen Long meet the people we love from music, film and television to find out about their passions and obsessions. A new episode drops every Friday - catch up with the episodes you've missed or subscribe via iTunes, Stitcher, Overcast or TuneIn.
