We've told you before about the relentless work of La Souterraine, self-penned "archaeologists of the future", who bring together on record and on stage unexplored-yet-excellent artists of the French underground scene.
Artfully mixing short folk songs with sprawling drony tracks, this new compilation FOLK is a stunning representation of the movement. It blends in traditional songs revisited by members and friends of collective La Nòvia with softly engaged songwriting by Eddy Crampes and Camille Benâtre & Maud Octalinn.
There's more than one collaboration on the bill, proving once more that this nascent French scene is alive and kicking.
