SoundCloud launches new tool for artists to distribute music to all major streaming platforms
SoundCloud Pro users can now distribute tracks to all the major streaming platforms at no extra cost.
The SoundCloud Premier distribution tool, launched as a beta version today, allows SoundCloud Pro subscribers to distribute their tracks straight to Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, and more without any extra cost.
The new addition will also allow artists to keep "100% of their rights, keep 100% of their distribution royalties from third-party services, and at no additional cost."
Jevon, who was part of the closed beta test, says, "SoundCloud’s distribution tool is a great way for unsigned artists to get their music out there for the world to hear. Everyone knows how easy it is to upload a song to SoundCloud, and now it’s just as simple to upload and distribute everywhere."
The new function has been added to the monetization toolset. In order to qualify for the open beta test, you must have a SoundCloud Pro, or Unlimited Pro account, have original music and own all the rights, be 18 or over, have no copyright strikes when enrolling, and to have gained 100 plays or over in the past month from these countries: US, UK, Canada, Australia, France, Germany, Ireland, The Netherlands, and New Zealand.
