Sónar 2017 to feature Nicolas Jaar, Justice, Moderat, and more
Barcelona's Sónar festival has announced its first wave of artists, with Nicolas Jaar, Justice, and Moderat heading up the wave.
Nadia Rose, De La Soul, Cashmere Cat, The Black Madonna, Clams Casino, Nosaj Thing + Daita Manabe, Eric Prydz, Nina Kraviz, Damian Lazarus, GAIKA, Forest Swords, Soulection, and more are also playing. The Spanish premiere of David Lang's Death Speaks will be performed by Stargaze.
The 24th Sónar Barcelona festival will feature over 150 concerts across the By Day and By Night venues - Fira Montjuïc and Fira Gran Via respectively.
Sónar+D 2017, the Congress of Digital Culture and Creative Technologies, will feature an "exclusive day" for professionals a day before the fest officially kicks off. "Virtual reality and immersive experiences" are set to hog the spotlight at Sónar+D.
