Solange reveals the first details of her forthcoming record in an interview with The New York Times.
The New York Times revealed that Solange's next record's release is "imminent" in a new interview with the singer/songwriter.
While Solange didn't reveal the album title, length, release date or tracks, she did detail the different locations she has been making the record in, including New Orleans, Jamaica, and California’s Topanga Canyon.
Solange also described her forthcoming album, “There is a lot of jazz at the core, but with electronic and hip hop drum and bass because I want it to bang and make your trunk rattle.”
After she explained her record will be warm, fluid and more sensual than her last. She even expressed her nervousness around releasing new music, “I have this fear living in my body about releasing work. I don’t know any artist that doesn’t feel that before they hit the send button.”
