Solange and Dev Hynes argue over Twitter, unlikely to collaborate again
It seemed like a match made in R&B heaven, but now it appears that the Solange x Dev Hynes team-up is no more.
Frustrated by supposed exaggerations over the creative input by Hynes, who recently released a new album under the moniker of Blood Orange, on her career-revitalising True EP, Solange took to Twitter to set the record straight.
Hynes, needless to say, was hardly pleased, responding with a series of now-deleted tweets that included him saying: “If you wanna take shots at me text me call me talk to me in person but don’t ever drop a subliminal, talk behind my back, or send a flunky” and “I have beef with no one. I won’t even mention your name ever again. Any of you. I’ve said my bit. I’ve reached out. I’ve praised you,” before concluding with “But now it’s done. It’s over. We’re done. Bye”.
This led to Ms Knowles having the last word on matters last night, posting the following messages to the social message site:
@devhynes When you do tumblr post, speak about things in interviews, tweet, issues then belong to the public. I have been minding my biz.

@devhynes I have only ever praised you and spoken about you positively, even when our perspectives were totally different.

@devhynes I still support your artistry & am extremely happy for your success. I just wished you were honest about the making of my album.
