Soccer Mommy reveals tender new single "yellow is the color of her eyes"
Soccer Mommy is back with a short film that is accompanied by her new single "yellow is the color of her eyes".
"yellow is the color of her eyes" arrives after September's "lucy", and accompanies a seven-minute short film directed by Alex Ross Perry.
Soccer Mommy's new track also features Mary Lattimore on harp. Speaking about the new single, Sophie Allison, aka Soccer Mommy, explains, ""yellow is the color of her eyes" is a song that is really important to me. The song was inspired by a time when I was on the road constantly and I felt like I was losing time - specifically with my mother. It’s also a song that I feel really showcases my writing when it comes to instrumentation, so it’s one that makes me really proud."
The last minute of the new single has an extremely similar melody to Peace's "California Daze" that dropped back in 2012.
