SOAK announces new album with first single "last july"
SOAK, real name Bridie Monds-Watson, has announced their third album If I Never Know You Like This Again, and has shared the lead outing "last july".
"last july" is SOAK's first new material since 2020's "I’m Alive" with Saint Sister’s Gemma Doherty, and arrives with a Ellius Grace-directed video.
The new single is accompanied by news of SOAK's third album If I Never Know You Like This Again, which was written during the pandemic.
According to Monds-Watson, their new album is made up of "song-memories". They add, "This record is the most accurate picture of me. I felt no pressure at all, it was almost like I was ranting as I was writing. When I was looking to the past, it was as though I had a big lottery ball of all my recent memories and I would just randomly select which one I wanted to unpack. It helped me to process my past."
If I Never Know You Like This Again will follow SOAK's 2019 album Grim Town.
