slowthai has covered The Verve's "The Drugs Don't Work" as part of a session for BBC Radio 1, and it features a live band made up of members of Black Country, New Road and Jockstrap.
His cover of The Verve's 1997 track "The Drugs Don't Work" was unveiled yesterday (28 April) as part of a session for BBC Radio 1, and follows slowthai's February cover of Elliott Smith's "Needle In The Hay".
His version of "The Drugs Don't Work" saw slowthai perform the song with a live band, featuring Black Country, New Road's Lewis Evans on saxophone and flute, and Jockstrap's Taylor Skye on synth.
In February slowthai released his second album TYRON.
slowthai's cover of The Verve's "The Drugs Don't Work" is on YouTube now.
