Slowdive announce first record in 22 years
Slowdive have announced their first new studio record in 22 years and shared brand new track "Sugar For The Pill".
This news follows January's mesmerising comeback single "Star Roving", which teased their first full-length release since 1995's Pygmalion. "Sugar For The Pill"'s accompanying video (by in/out) is inspired by the upcoming self-titled album's artwork, which is itself a still taken from Harry Smith's 1957 animation Heaven and Earth Magic.
Slowdive have also revealed plans for a show in London tomorrow (29 March) at The Garage. The location is no accident - it's the same spot where they performed their last London date, in 1993, during their original run.
Tickets are on sale from 1pm BST today, but the band are also streaming the entire show live on Facebook (9:10pm BST) if you can't get to the date in person.
Slowdive have lots of live plans for this summer, including a set at End Of The Road festival this August/September. Find out more about their upcoming shows.
