Slow Club's Rebecca Taylor unveils debut track as Self Esteem
Rebecca Taylor (Slow Club) has announced Your Wife, her debut EP under new moniker Self Esteem, and shared the magnificent title track.
Django Django's Dave Maclean is on production duties for "Your Wife", which sees Taylor careen far away from the sounds and styles of Slow Club. This is rambunctious, rhythm-heavy gospel pop with electronic twangs and an emphasis on bright, bold hooks - it's a staggering first step into a fresh world that shows off every strength Taylor can muster.
Slow Club released latest record One Day All Of This Won't Matter Anymore last year. Fellow member Charles Watson recently began new project The Surfing Magazines with members of The Wave Pictures.
