Sky Ferreira explains debut album delay in new interview
-
In a recent interview will Billboard, alt-pop starlet Sky Ferreira explains why her debut album has been delayed from this summer to early next year.
Bouncing of the success of last year’s Ghost EP, and the fact that she’s been being tipped ever since 2009, there was bound to be initial pressure to release new material.“I almost feel like I have the second-album pressure for my first album.” Ferreira explains to Billboard.
“It wasn’t delayed or anything,” the singer-songwriter continued. “The mixes were getting rushed, and it wasn’t as good as it could be.”
In the end, they opted for quality over punctuality. “I feel like I’ve waited so long that I need to be satisfied with it, and the quality of it needs to be up there… I am not a fan of things being delayed, but I thought this one actually was for the best.”
Sky Ferreira is, however, releasing a new EP in September, to keep you busy in the meanwhile.
