Sir Tom Jones talks about of reimagining his favourite songs on the new season of Talk The Line

This season we’re chatting about things our guests have explored during the pandemic and its various lockdowns. Tom’s love of music has seen him take on a project of re-interpretation, tackling a diverse set of songs of personal importance that have impacted him across his long career.

The result is new record Surrounded By Time, co-produced by Ethan Johns and Mark Woodward, which marks out new territory with a sonic landscape of outstanding musicianship. We’re chatting with Tom about some of the artists and songs that inspired him on the record, and his approach to re-imagining those tracks for a whole new audience. Surrounded by Time is released on 23 April.
