Sinead O'Connor reported missing near Chicago
Irish singer/songwriter Sinead O'Connor has been reported missing in the US state of Illinois.
O'Connor has reportedly been missing for over 24 hours after going on a bike ride at 6am (local time), and police in the Chicago suburb of Wilmette "are seeking to check the well-being" they confirmed in a statement to the press.
The Dublin-born 49-year-old may also be suicidal, according to various reports. She was last seen on a "Raleigh motorized bicycle with a pink basket... [wearing a] black parka, black leather pants and a sweatshirt with 'Ireland' on the back."
Last November, O'Connor wrote on social media: "There is only so much any woman can be expected to bear. What was done to me this week was appalling cruelty. The last two nights finished me off. I have taken an overdose. There is no other way to get respect. I am not at home, I’m at a hotel, somewhere in Ireland, under another name.”
O'Connor wrote on Facebook on Sunday about her custody battle with former partner Donal Lunny:
Comedian Arsenio Hall is currently suing O'Connor over allegations made by the singer that he had supplied Prince with drugs for a number of years.
