Simon Neil of Biffy Clyro debuts track under solo banner ZZC
Simon Neil of Biffy Clyro has unveiled a track as ZZC, his solo project, for the Zane Lowe-curated Radio 1 Rescores: Drive project.
The gruff Scotsman has a penchant for raw riffery and grand pop-rock gestures, but ZZC sees him take a turn for the delicate.
Speaking to Zane Lowe last night (28 October), Neil said:
"It was a nice, different challenge to write something off the visuals... the music just flowed out, working to a beautiful movie like that gives you a lot of inspiration."
The track is expected to feature towards the end of the rescore.
In related news, Bastille last night performed their contribution, "The Driver". Neil joins Bastille and Chvrches as artists who have unveiled their work on the new OST.
