Sigur Rós to play "new and unreleased material" on European tour this autumn
Sigur Rós are coming back to Europe for a tantalising string of dates, including five in the UK.
The run of dates - billed as An Evening With Sigur Rós - will see the band "in hand-picked theatres across Europe for the first time in a decade." They will be appearing without a support act - the 'Evenings' will include two sets separated by an interval - and perform a blend of fan favourites, heavy hitters, and "new and unreleased material."
The Icelandic trio will be once again performing as a pared-back outfit, with live production designed by the team behind their recent 'Knights Of Illumination' dates.
According to a press release this will be your last chance to catch the band in venues this "intimate... across the continent for the foreseeable future."
As well as last year's inimitable live experiences, Sigur Rós debuted their ambitious Route One project, new single "Óveður", and a fresh mix of "Hoppípolla" for BBC documentary series Planet Earth II.
