Sigur Rós frontman Jónsi is working with pop mastermind Ryan Tedder
Jónsi, the frontman of Icelandic post-rock outfit Sigur Rós, is apparently in the studio with Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic.
In an interview with Consequence Of Sound, Tedder says that “Jónsi wants to get into writing pop music, so I have a couple of songs from him in an email that I’m going to try and make into pop records."
Tedder is one of the world's most prolific pop producers/writers - he's worked with Taylor Swift, Adele, Ellie Goulding, Maroon 5, Kelly Clarkson, Demi Lovato, Beyoncé, Sky Ferreira, and more.
Sigur Rós are currently touring the world - check out our photos of the band performing at this year’s San Francisco Bay festival.
Jónsi's most recent solo record, Go, was released in 2010. Sigur Rós have been busy in 2016, releasing brand new single "Óveður" and their ambitious visual project Route One.
