Sigur Rós are teaming with Lord Jones for "cannabis-infused" gumdrops
Sigur Rós have always peddled eclectic merch - e.g. that "driftwood campfire"-scented candle - but this new one is high on the list of bizarre band products.
The Icelandic group have partnered with Lord Jones, a "leading cannabis brand", to create new Wild Sigurberry gumdrops - apparently they're "inspired by the flavours of foraged Iceland berries" and the music of Sigur Rós. Yummy.
As well as a tasty flavour, these non-veggie (gelatine, sry) edibles are infused with "full-spectrum phytocannabinoid-rich CBD derived from specially sourced organic hemp" and do not contain THC. These "medicated" treats are designed to provide a "calming sense of wellbeing" and aid pain relief.
Sigur Rós and Lord Jones will be presenting a "sound bath" on 18 April at Hollywood's NeueHouse. Apparently visitors will get to "sample" the candies and experience "multimedia collaborations [featuring] moments in sound, film, and VR."
The rather lovely box features a crest by illustrator/artist Andrew Rae.
