Sia donates royalties from Eminem collaboration to LGBT charity
Following accusations of homophobia in lyrics from his new album, recent Eminem collaborator Sia has decided to donate the money she earns from appearing on one of his tracks to a LGBT charity.
The rapper has been on the receiving end of much criticism for his lyric “Break a motherf**ker’s table over the back of a couple f****ts and crack it in half” on “Rap God”. But while Sia, who appeared on the LP’s “Beautiful Pain” and defines herself as “queer”, disputed claims that the star is homophobia, she’s nonetheless thought it right to give the money to a good cause.
“I know personally that he is not homophobic, but a performance artist. I would never work with someone I believed to be homophobic,” Sia is quoted as saying.
The royalties from “Beautiful Pain” will be given to the Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Center.
