Shura announces deluxe edition of forevher album with unreleased track "obsession"
Shura is back with news of a deluxe edition of her 2019 album forevher, and has shared the previously unreleased "obsession" to accompany the announcement.
"obsession" is one of two unreleased tracks to feature on the deluxe edition of forevher, and follows last year's Ivy Sole collaboration "elevator girl", which will also feature on the deluxe version of Shura's album alongside her Bandcamp single "magazine launch (demo)".
Shura says of "obsession", ""obsession" was one of the songs I wrote whilst I was writing forevher. I always wanted it to be a duet between two women but it never came to fruition during the recording process. Then, when I toured forevher in Europe, Rosie Lowe came with us and we’d always spoken about wanting to collaborate on something together and I suddenly remembered this song, which I loved but had somehow never finished. I sent the track across to Ro and when she sent back her rough take I was like 'YES. this is it'."
The deluxe version of forevher will include the original 11 tracks from the 2019 album, as well as five acoustic versions of the original album tracks recorded and produced with Sam Evian and featuring Hannah Cohen on backing vocals.
