ShitKid announce new album with trailer
Swedish duo ShitKid have announced their new album Duo Limbo/”Mellan himmel å helvete”, alongside sharing a brief trailer for the record.
ShitKid, the Swedish duo made up of Åsa Söderqvist and Lina Molarin Ericsson, have collected two sessions worth of recordings for their new album.
The first session took place in LA with Melvins, and the second was held in Austin, Texas with Paul Leary of Butthole Surfers.
Duo Limbo/”Mellan himmel å helvete” includes four songs, each track recorded in English and then re-recorded in Swedish. It will include "Feels Like the Movies", which originally featured on ShitKid and Melvins' split EP Bangers.
Söderqvist says of the record, "We had some new songs, and we were thinking about what to do with them. We realised that we’d never sung in Swedish before. Back in the sixties, a lot of Swedish artists would cover British and American songs and translate the lyrics, to leave their own mark on the song. We thought we could maybe do that ourselves."
Their forthcoming album will be their first since May's [DETENTION].
