Shamir releases new song "Lose to Win" for 24 hours as part of Bandcamp Friday
Shamir has unveiled a new track called "Lose to Win", which is only available for 24 hours as part of Bandcamp Friday.
The reverb-heavy "Lose to Win" follows Shamir's recent version of Sharon Van Etten's "DsharpG" that landed last week as part of her epic Ten anniversary release, and is only up on Bandcamp for 24 hours as part of Bandcamp Fridays, which occurs on the first Friday of every month and sees the platform waive its revenue shares to support artists during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Lose to Win" is Shamir's first new song of 2021, and while he's yet to follow up last year's self-titled album in October last year, he has released a "haunted emo shoegaze rock" cover of Billie Eilish’s "Ocean Eyes", and connected with Christian Lee Hutson on a brilliant cover of The Cure's "Just Like Heaven" last month.
