SG Lewis returns with new songs "Missing You" and "Something About Your Love"
SG Lewis is back with his first new tracks of 2022, "Missing You" and "Something About Your Love".
The new songs mark SG Lewis' first releases of 2022, following his 2021 debut album times.
SG Lewis says of "Missing You", "Conceptually, it felt like the perfect introduction. It’s a story about temptation and dwindling fear. Your eyes are wandering."
He adds of "Something About Your Love", "It’s no secret I’m a massive Daft Punk fan. It’s the closest thing I’ve ever made to a tribute to them. I was listening to Discovery a lot, and there’s a specific technique to it. I chopped up the sample of these seventies keys and drums. It came together easily. Lyrically, It’s a pure confession of admiration for someone. It’s the perfect contrast to "Missing You"."
Although the new songs mark his first outing under his own name this year, SG Lewis has contributed production to songs by Mabel, and will feature on Tove Lo's Dirt Femme album later this year.
