Personal items belonging to late French singer Serge Gainsbourg are set to go under the hammer.
As The Guardian report, such memorabilia as photographs, shoes, cassette cases and a personal telegram to wife, Jane Birkin, who he dueted with on ‘Je t’aime … moi non plus’ will be up for grabs later this month.
Other highlights of the lots for sale at a Nantes auction house include cigarette butts from the iconic smoker and even nail clippings. Those latter clippings are expected to reach between €50-€80.
The auction will be held on 31 October at Talma auction house. Gainsbourg’s handwritten shopping list was recently flogged off for £6,540.
