Seminal indie compilation C86 to be reissued with 50 bonus tracks
As previously reported, C86, the classic cassette compilation originally released by NME in 1986, will be expanded and reissued later this year by Cherry Red Records – with its extensive tracklist now revealed.
The release, which featured the likes of Primal Scream, The Pastels, The Wedding Present, Half Man Half Biscuit and more, will get an additional outing as a three-CD set come May. The re-release will again be helmed by one of its original curators, Neil Taylor, who will provide annotations to the reissue.
As well as the original 22 tracks, the new collection will also come with 50 additional songs that have since influenced dozens of indie-rock bands. You can check out the full tracklist beneath:
