Selling Sunset's Chrishell and Chile's president-elect back Taylor Swift in Damon Albarn row
Chrishell from Selling Sunset and Chile's president-elect Gabriel Boric have shared their thoughts on Damon Albarn saying Taylor Swift doesn't write her own songs.
Last night (24 January) Swift responded to a Damon Albarn interview which saw him claim that Swift "doesn’t write her own songs." Swift called out Albarn on Twitter, calling his claims "completely false" and "SO damaging." She added, "You don’t have to like my songs but it’s really fucked up to try and discredit my writing. WOW."
Albarn issued an apology (sort of) soon after, saying his interview was "reduced to clickbait" and adding, "The last thing I would want to do is discredit your songwriting."
Swift, backed by her army of Swifties, was also backed by frequent collaborators Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner, who also called out Albarn for being "completely clueless" about Swift's work process.
Some unlikely people have also chimed in, including Chrishell from Selling Sunset, who wrote, "I just read the full quote in context. Nope, that’s all on you to own buddy. Context did NOT help. A moody musician that works to discredit a wildly more successful artist bc they deem their music less than. Original."

The president-elect of Chile, Gabriel Boric, also defended Swift on Twitter, writing, "Here in Chile you have a huge group of supporters who knows that you write you own songs from the heart. Dont take seriously guys that need to insult or lie to get attention. Hugs from the south Taylor."
