Rising stars Black Midi made a surprise unbilled appearance at End of the Road last night to help close off the festival with a bang.
The enigmatic London four-piece were followed by boisterous Australian ne'er-do-wells Amyl and The Sniffers, whose frenzied assault on good taste and the festival's decibel limits concluded with a cover of Le Tigre's "Deceptacon", and AK/DK, who invited anarchic Yeti cabal Snapped Ankles to add extra groove to their synth 'n' drums cacophony.
End of the Road will return from 29 August-1 September 2019, and early bird tickets will be on sale from Tuesday 4 September.
