Season three of Atlanta gets March 2022 release date
After Donald Glover unveiled the first teaser trailer for the long-awaited third season of his Atlanta TV series in October, the new season has been given a March 2022 release date.
On Halloween, Atlanta creator Glover shared a one-minute teaser trailer for the third season of the show, and last night the forthcoming season finally got a release date.
Atlanta season three is set to premiere on 24 March 2022 with a double episode, and according to Deadline, the new season will include 10 episodes in total.
The piece also reports that Atlanta will be promoted with a new trailer during ESPN and ABC's NBA games on Christmas Day.
Eric Schrier, President, FX Entertainment said, "We are thrilled to have Atlanta back with a new season on March 24th. Once again, Donald Glover, the producers and stellar cast have delivered another signature season synonymous with the excellence that makes Atlanta so great."
The final episode of Atlanta season two aired in May 2018, and in November last year Glover wrote on Twitter that the third and fourth seasons of the show are "going to be some of the best television ever made. Sopranos only ones who can touch us."
