Some may swear by kale smoothies, and others by a full English, but this lunchtime at End of the Road, Screaming Females definitively proved that the best hangover cure is to have your face melted off.
The New Jersey three-piece unleashed a taut barrage of mighty riffs and even mightier shreddage primarily drawn from their seventh studio album All At Once, providing festival goers with a much-appreciated shot of adrenaline and perhaps a smidge of tinnitus. If the rush to the merch table was any indication, Screaming Females might well be a contender for a higher-profile slot at End of the Roads to come.
End of the Road continues on Saturday 1 September with headline sets from Vampire Weekend and Oh Sees.
