Saweetie samples Too Short’s "Blow The Whistle" on new single "Tap In"
Saweetie has shared her new single "Tap In", which samples Too Short's 2006 banger "Blow The Whistle".
"Tap In" is Saweetie's first new release since teaming up with GALXARA for the Birds of Prey single "Sway With Me" in January.
Saweetie's new single is taken from her forthcoming Pretty B*tch Music album that's due for release later this year.
"Tap In" also features a sample of Too Short's "Blow The Whistle". Speaking about the sample to Zane Lowe on his Apple Music Beats 1 show, Saweetie explained, "I was like, 'What if he doesn't like it?' But then he liked it, so I'm just excited. I'm so happy that he loves it. I'm so excited for this record. I've been gone for a year, but I really had to focus on my artist development because that was something that I was struggling with."
Pretty B*tch Music will feature production from Timbaland and Danja. The "B*tch" stands for "Boss. Independent. Tough. CEO. Hyphy."
