San Fermin announce details of second album Jackrabbit
San Fermin, the collective of avante-pop/jazz-rock frontiersmen, have announced their follow-up to 2013's self-titled debut. It's called Jackrabbit, and it's preceded by the feral tones of "Parasites".
The new record will see the octet produced by Peter Katis (The National, Interpol) and 'bandleader' Ellis Ludwig-Leone. Explaining the record's creation, Ludwig-Leone said:
“I went from being this isolated composer guy, out in the woods, to sitting in the back of a van with seven other members playing shows in rock clubs every night. When I got back, I revisited it all, ripped these holes in the middle of all the existing songs and added some new songs. I rethought everything I had been writing.”
San Fermin will release Jackrabbit via Downtown Record/Sony RED on 27 April 2015.
