Sampha, Jónsi, and Troye Sivan among those nominated for Oscars
The 2019 Oscar nominations are in, and Sampha, Jónsi, Troye Sivan, Kendrick Lamar, and SZA are just a few of the music-led nominees.
For the first time nine shortlists for the Oscars have been revealed at once, with the other category nominations to be revealed next month.
Sigur Ros' Jónsi and Troye Sivan's tender "Revelation" track from Boy Erased is up for Best Original Song, alongside Sampha's endearing piano offering for Beautiful Boy "Treasure".
Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's blockbuster A Star Is Born also appears on the list, with Cooper and Gaga's duet "Shallow".
The Best Original song nominees also include Kendrick Lamar and SZA's "All The Stars", and Thom Yorke's "Suspirium".
Kendrick Lamar's Black Panther (OST) record has also been nominated for Best Original Score, alongside the soundtracks to Isle of Dogs, Mary Poppins Returns, and A Quiet Place.
