Sam Smith’s debut album In the Lonely Hours is out in a few days in the UK (US will have to wait until mid-June), and the singer’s now shared a music video for his new single “Leave Your Lover.”
Like the humble, somber song itself, the video (which co-stars model Daisy Lowe) tells the tale of Smith’s unrequited love and the couple he longs to stand between. The rather understated visuals build towards an unexpected, powerful conclusion. Check it out below (via Vevo).
In the Lonely Hour is out 26 May in the UK (17 June in the US) via Capitol Records.
