Sam Ryder to represent the UK at this year's Eurovision with "SPACE MAN"
Sam Ryder has been chosen to represent the UK at this year's Eurovision Song Contest with his "SPACE MAN" song.
Ryder, who is the most-followed UK artist on TikTok, will be heading to Turin, Italy in May to represent the UK at this year's Eurovision Song Contest.
He'll be taking his "SPACE MAN" song to this year's competition, which he co-wrote with Grammy-winning songwriter Amy Wadge (Ed Sheeran, Thinking Out Loud) and Max Wolfgang.
Ryder said of being selected for this year's Eurovision, "Having been a fan of Eurovision since I was a kid l I am so honoured to have been presented with the opportunity to sing at an event alongside some of Europe’s most talented creatives, performers and songwriters. I hope to sing my head off in a way the UK can be proud of, and to showcase a song I wrote with my friends last summer makes the whole experience even more special. See you in Turin legends!"
Last year's Eurovision was won by Måneskin. James Newman's 2021 entry "Embers" didn't score a single point at the 2021 Eurovision.
