Sam Fender's new BRIT Award to be turned into beer pump at his local pub
Sam Fender has confirmed that his second BRIT Award will join his first as a beer pump at Low Lights Tavern in North Shields.
Last night (8 February) saw Sam Fender win Best Alternative/Rock Act at the 2022 BRITs, and following his win, Fender revealed that he plans on giving his second statue to his local pub in North Shields.
The new Award will join his 2019 Critics' Choice Award at the Low Lights Tavern in North Shields - where Fender used to work and was discovered - as a beer pump.
BBC reports that he told BBC Radio 5 Live, "I came here for the meat raffle, to be honest, and then I came away with a BRIT. Now I’ve got two, I’m going to go back [to the pub] and do the exact same thing."
Low Lights Tavern wrote on Facebook of Fender's second BRIT Award, "Well done Sam Fender and the band, Deano, Joe, Drew, Tom and Jonny blue hat. True Rock Royalty born and bred in North Shields."
Earlier today (9 February) it was revealed that Sam Fender's Spotify streams increased by 79% following his performance and BRITs win.
