Ryley Walker previews new album with second single "Axis Bent"
After announcing his forthcoming album Course In Fable last month, Ryley Walker has released the album's second single "Axis Bent".
Walker announced Course In Fable in February with lead single "Rang Dizzy", and has now returned with a second outing from the album, "Axis Bent".
Course In Fable features seven tracks, and includes guitar and piano contributions from Bill MacKay, bass and piano from Andrew Scott Young, Ryan Jewell on drums/percussion, Tortoise's John McEntire on synth/keys/vibraphone (as well as engineering and mixing the album), cello from Nancy Ives and string arrangements/cello from Douglas Jenkins.
Walker's new album will be his first studio LP as the lead artist since 2018's Deafman Glance. In 2019 he reunited with Charles Rumback for their Little Common Twist album.
